Personal Project
This is a personal editorial design project. I’ve been interested in the motif because I found that comedy and tragedy have a complex relationship and people may have different points of view about the exact same thing––a plot maybe be really amusing to someone but a complete tragedy to another. Therefore, I did a research about the most influential playwrights, philosophers, and psychologists who covered this topic in their studies and redact their theories to a small brochure.

I split the narrative into three parts. The first part introduces different roles and their attributes in the scenario. Then, I talked about three philosophers’ theories about comedy and tragedy, which basically covers the development of the motif in philosophy history. And at last, I introduce the psychoanalysis about the subject matter.
